MAIN TELESCOPE
TELESCOPIO PRINCIPALEBought in 1985 from doct. Baur of Chions (PN), (Chaonis Observatory), is the main instrument of CCAF.
At its Newton focus we have a CCD ST-6, that we use for astrometry. By turning the secondary mirror we have the possibility to visual observe with traditional eyepieces. Removing the secondary we can instead place a film holder at direct focus.
Actually pointing is made manually with the help of digital readouts from optical encoders on both axes (32 arcsec/tic).
Optical scheme Newton-Cassegrain reflector
Aperture 400 mm (15.7")
Focal lenght 1800 mm (70.8")(New) - 7000 mm (275.5")(Cas)
Focal ratio f/4.5 (New) - f/17 (Cas)
Mirrors Marcon - S. Donà di Piave (VE)
Mounting equatorial
Drivers Pellegrini - S. Daniele del Fr. UD
Optical encoders ±32 arcsec accuracy
CCD SBIG ST-6
Film holder 42 mm (1.6") dia - 80 arcmin field

GUIDE TELESCOPE
RIFRATTOREUsed to guide the main telescope and for planetary observations.
Eyepiece holder can move on both axes and holds a CCD ST-4, with flip-mirror, for automatic guide on stars or on comets.
Optical scheme refractor
Aperture 150 mm (5.9")
Focal lenght 2250 mm (88.5")
Focal ratio f/15
Lenses Zen - Mestre (VE)
CCD SBIG ST-4 + flip mirror
